Frequently
Asked Questions

How can I book a care home tour?

You can book a tour using the form on this page. Fill in your details and submit a request. A friendly member of our team will get back to you asap. If you have questions that need to be cleared up before booking a tour, call us on 01704 895887 and we’ll be happy to help.

Who will lead my tour?

Your tour will be led by the registered house manager, who will show you around the residence and gardens. The registered house manager is responsible for running the care home and will be able to answer all your questions about what life is like at the property. You will also have an opportunity to meet staff on shift during your tour. If you want to meet specific staff, we’ll arrange your tour so that you can meet them.

Will I meet other residents?

During your tour, you might meet other residents at the care home. If they’re comfortable talking to you, this is a great opportunity to get an insight into what the environment at the residence is like.

Will I see my new room in the care home?

It depends. Vacant rooms might be available, and you could look at these to see what your relative’s room will be like or even choose a preferred one. However, sometimes rooms may not be vacant at the time of your tour, especially if it’s still early days and you’re deciding whether the home is right for you. You can always book another tour with us closer to the time to see available rooms.

Should I bring my relative on the tour?

We invite families to bring along their loved one who is looking for a space in a care home, but it’s not necessary on the first visit. It all depends on what works for you. We do, however, encourage potential new residents to visit at least once before moving in to help them acclimate and ensure they’re happy with the placement.
